About the Artist

Memories of the Carolina coast, living on the Texas coast with all its beauty, experiencing the intriguing shapes and shadows of the Texas hill country, have all inspired me to put down what I remember on paper. I’m “at home” creating, and enjoy experimenting with bright colors and strong contrasts. Painting has enriched my life and completes who I am.

Award winning and nationally acclaimed artist Pam Stanley was introduced to the wonderful world of art at age 5. Originally from Charleston, South Carolina, where she studied for years at the famed Gibbs Art Gallery, she graduated from Texas A&I University and went on to receive her Master of Science degree in Education/Art at Corpus Christi State University. Pam has attended countless workshops of nationally recognized watercolorists.

Pam’s paintings have been accepted into art competitions and have won awards in the United States as well as internationally. She is a Signature Member of the Texas Watercolor Society. In 2004 Pam’s work received national recognition as one of her paintings was selected for North Light Books publication “Splash 8” - Watercolor Discoveries. Most recently her work was selected again for their upcoming 2008 publication “Splash 10” - Passionate Strokes.

Pam has taught art for the past fifteen years in her Corpus Christi, Texas home studio, and also conducts area workshops. She says she loves every minute of sharing all she knows about art with her students.
