About the Artist

My paintings are about color and movement. The interplay of complementary colors fascinates me. It's what reaches out and demands to be expressed; in particular, the luminescent colors of water as light plays on it. I want my paintings to bring the viewer into the painting, moving with the stream of color and motion. I strive to capture the organic patterns and spiraling movement found in nature.

Dona LeCrone Walston paints in watercolor and acrylic. She holds four signature memberships including the National Watercolor Society and the Texas Watercolor Society. Walston is a colorist whose works focus on realistic tropical flowers, sandstone rock formations and abstract acrylics and collages. Walston received her Master of Arts from George Washington University.
