About the Artist

Dr. A.D. (Dee) Patton, a native of Corpus Christi, Texas, has ahd a life-long interest in birds and photography. His photographs of birds have benn exhibited in Rockport, Corpus Christi, and Bryan, Texas, and featured in Texas Ornithological Society publications. He and his wife Nancy reside in College Station, Texas and spend as much time as possible at their home in Rockport enjoying the scenery and many birding and photographic opportunities.

Dr. Patton received degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Texas, the University of Pittsburgh, and Texas A&M University. He began his professional career with the Westinghouse Electric Corp. in Pittsburgh and subsequently was a Professor of electrical engineering at Texas A&M University for many years before retiring in 2000. Currently he serves as an engineering consultant for a variety of clients in the electric power and energy systems area.
